Recording got delayed on this one due to a guest appearance, a holiday here in America, and some incredibly bad sinus pressure – but we’re here now, and we have an interesting show for you. In this episode, we continue to talk about trying to figure out how to get games played in the midst of lockdown – but actually don’t get to our usual coffee and contemplation segment because we wanted to talk about why we try to shy away from making too many definitive theological statements on most of our ministry’s content – but especially here at Game Store Prophets.

Jumping off of the point mentioned in our previous episode regarding different editions of Dungeons and Dragons – specifically how Daniel enjoys older editions while 5th edition is everything Mike has hoped the game could be – many of the differences we find in our life, our gaming, and even what we value in the practice and application of our faith have to do with what we are expecting.

Episode 111 – Introspection

We also talk about games of Blood Rage and Spyfall being played for Extra Life Tabletop Appreciation Weekend and learning to play Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn over Tabletop Simulator.

As the discussion leads to determining top 10 favorites videos, the topic turns to thoughts of how our gaming tastes and our faith have grown – causing some things to become more prominent, while others retreat. It’s when we really think about where we’ve been and where we hope to go that we see God working in us.
