We get an update on Jeff’s trip to the woods, talk about some epic kickstarters, and share a bit of what we have planned for Tavern Con. In our discussion of our first fund raiser, we share about our own struggles trusting in God’s provision for our day to day.
If you were thinking about coming to Tavern Con, we hope to see you this weekend. If you can’t come, we’d love it if you would pray for the event and its success that we can build on for years to come. You can also support the ministry of InnRoads by sending us a donation wherever you are through the innRoads site.

Hey guys – I really appreciated this episode, and I had a few thoughts in response, that may or may not be the worthwhile kinds of thoughts. The first is that I wrote a book, and one of the chapters of said book might be interesting as you guys think about asking for financial support. It’s about begging – sort of. Anyway, if you’re interested, I can send it to an email, or share it on DropBox. No response needed, just thought it might be interesting.
The second thought is – have you guys heard of Clockwork: Dominion? It’s an RPG that I have helped with some design and done all of their editing, and it recently got funded on Kickstarter. It’s awesome, and zeroed in on Victorian Steampunk gaming. Definitely a game I would recommend, and I can say more about why if you want. We just started a YouTube channel with demos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjTkR2Wz30k
Third thought: I’d be interested in writing articles for the site. I’m in The Tavern a bit and have been a listener for a little while, and I’ve written a lot about God and gaming.
Fourth thought: I really hope to be at Tavern Con. I may be bringing a 3 year old with me, as my wife is working, but she’s a gamer in training anyway so it would be sort of appropriate.
Anyway – thanks for the podcast and all the other things you do. I’m open to helping out, though I don’t know what help I could be. I’m a good writer, editor, and I want to talk about God-stuff and game-stuff as much as possible.
Thanks for the response. I hadn’t heard of Clockwork Dominion, but seeing as it has the word “Clockwork” in it – the likelihood that I’ll enjoy it is pretty high.
Any time you ever want to write anything for us, send us a pitch to contact@innroadsministries.com. One of us will get back to you and work with you to help make it the best it can be, and we’ll happily post it to the site when it’s done.
